Calcformulas is a small, independent project, so there is no phone support or live chat. We aim to reply within a few business days, and messages that report a calculator error are answered first.
Reporting a calculator error
Accuracy reports are the most valuable mail we get. To help us reproduce the problem quickly, include:
- The full URL of the calculator page
- The exact values you entered, with units
- The result you got and the result you expected
- Where the expected value comes from, if you know it, such as a textbook, a standard, or a worked example
- Your browser and device, if the problem is with the display rather than the math
If we confirm a mistake, we correct it, retest the calculator against worked examples, and update the page. You can read more about that process on our About page.
Suggesting a new calculator
Reader requests regularly shape what we build next. The most useful suggestions cover three things: what the calculator should compute, who would use it, and the formula or source you would expect it to follow. Partial ideas are welcome too. If you only know the problem you are trying to solve, that is enough to start.
