About Calcformulas

Most of us have been there: you need one number (hours worked, square footage for a project, the grade you need on the final) and the first three search results are slow, cluttered, or ask you to create an account before showing anything useful.

Calcformulas is our answer to that. One site, 35 calculators, organized by topic so you can find what you need without guessing. A student checking homework, a contractor on site estimating materials, a developer converting colors: same library, same straightforward layout.

A calculator is only worth using if you can trust the number it returns. Every tool on Calcformulas follows the same four-step process, and the last step never really ends.

1. Start from a published source. Formulas come from standards bodies and government references such as NIST and the CDC where they apply, from standard textbooks, and from the conventions professionals in each field actually use. We do not invent math.
2. Show the work. The formula appears on the calculator page with every variable defined in plain English, so you can verify any result by hand.
3. Test before launch. We run each calculator against hand-worked examples and edge cases, including zeros, unit switches, and unusually large inputs, and compare the output line by line.
4. Review and correct. When a standard changes or a reader reports a discrepancy, we re-check the source, fix the calculator, and retest it.
